Raise Money for Your Music with uPlaya

Collect Donations for Your Next Music Project through Your uPlaya Press Kit!

Your uPlaya profile is now equipped with a crowd-funding tool that lets your fans and investors donate money to your next music project. Raise money for your next album or tour by crowd-funding!

uPlaya Crowdfunding: MicrogivingWe are proud to partner with MicroGiving, a crowd-sourced funding platform that enables you to safely accept donations and offer rewards. MicroGiving is different from a lot of the other crowd-funding sites out there because it encourages all members to give back to individuals in need. A percentage of the money you earn can be used to give back to the charity or individual of your choice. This way your donors will not only feel good about supporting your music project, they'll also know that in a way their donation helped out needy families and organizations.

uPlaya Crowdfunding: MicrogivingGET STARTED:

  • It’s free to sign up - find the link and full instructions on the Edit UPK page in your uPlaya account.
  • You will be the Project Creator, and you will need to create a Personal Project page for your fund-raising efforts. You can raise money to fund a new album, plan a new tour or support any music project you think people would want to support.
  • Microgiving will review your request to make sure it meets their guidelines; this process takes no longer than 24 to 48 hours.

REWARDS. As the Project creator, you are responsible for coming up with a Rewards scheme for your donors. This is a small way you can say thanks for their contribution. You can offer almost anything – use your creativity! Just make sure that you can fulfill on your promise and deliver the rewards when the project expires. There is no minimum or maximum for the cost.

FEES. There is a 13% fee for personal projects. 3% is taken by the credit card processor, all other fees go directly into the Project Creator’s Giving Bank. At the expiration of each Request, the creator can then give the funds gathered in the Giving Bank to any charity or individual in need on the MicroGiving site.
